Booking & Pricing

How do I book a hibachi party?

Choose your date, preferred start time, guest count and event address, then submit the booking form. We’ll review chef availability and travel for your location before the party is finalized.

What information should I have ready before booking?

Please send the event date, preferred start time, full address or ZIP code, guest count, any allergies, and any venue or building restrictions.

How much does hibachi catering cost?

Adults start at $50 per person and children age 13 and under are $30 per person. A $500 food minimum applies to smaller parties. Travel, applicable tax and gratuity are additional.

Can I book for fewer than ten adults?

Yes. Smaller groups are welcome as long as the $500 food minimum is met, plus travel and applicable tax.

Can I get a quick estimate before booking?

Yes. Use our party estimate page to review the basic food total, then submit your date and address so we can confirm travel and availability.

Is a deposit required?

A deposit may be required to hold your date. The amount and payment instructions are shown in your confirmation.

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are generally non-refundable, but they may be transferred to a future party when a date change is approved. Contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

How do I pay the remaining balance?

Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, the final balance is due in cash at the party.

Do you accept Zelle or Venmo?

Zelle or Venmo may be used for the deposit when those instructions are provided in your confirmation. The remaining balance is normally paid in cash.

Is gratuity included?

No. Gratuity is separate and goes to the chef. Many guests tip around 20%, similar to restaurant service.

Is tax included in the advertised price?

Applicable sales tax is added where required. The exact tax treatment depends on the event location.

How are travel fees calculated?

Travel is quoted separately based on the event address and region. We confirm the travel charge before the party is finalized.

Are parking or tolls included?

Parking, tolls or access-related costs may be added when they are necessary for the event location, especially in dense city or building settings.

Menu & Dietary Requests

What is included in a standard hibachi meal?

Standard meals include salad, vegetables and fried rice, plus two protein choices per guest.

What protein choices are available?

Common choices include chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon and vegetarian options. Availability may vary by event and final menu.

What if I only want one protein?

A single protein choice can be served as a double portion.

Can I add a third protein?

Yes. A third protein can be added for an additional charge. Final pricing depends on the selected protein.

What are the premium protein upgrades?

Filet mignon is +$5, scallops are +$5 and lobster is +$10 per upgrade.

Do you have party add-ons?

Yes. Ask about noodles, gyoza, edamame and maki sushi. Availability and pricing are confirmed with your party quote.

Do you offer vegetarian meals?

Yes. Let us know how many vegetarian guests you have before the final menu is submitted so we can plan the meal correctly.

Can you accommodate gluten-free requests?

Gluten-free requests can often be accommodated. Please tell us in advance so we can review available ingredients and preparation options.

What about food allergies?

All allergies should be disclosed before the final menu is confirmed. We’ll review the request and available precautions with you before the event.

Can you handle seafood allergies?

Please tell us the exact allergy and the number of affected guests in advance. Because hibachi is cooked on a shared cooking surface, we need to review the safest available setup before confirming the menu.

Can you accommodate no-pork or no-alcohol requests?

Yes, these requests can be noted for the party. Please include them when you submit the final menu.

When is the final menu due?

Please send the final menu at least five days before the party so the chef can prepare the correct ingredients and portions.

Event Setup & What to Expect

What does the chef bring?

The chef brings the hibachi grill, cooking equipment and ingredients for your confirmed menu.

What does the host need to provide?

Please have tables, chairs, plates, forks or utensils, napkins and drinkware ready before the scheduled start time unless rentals have been arranged.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Table and chair rental may be available for an additional fee. Ask when booking so availability can be confirmed for your date.

How early does the chef arrive?

The chef typically arrives about 15–20 minutes before the scheduled start time to set up.

How long does the hibachi experience last?

Interactive cooking usually lasts about 1–1.5 hours, followed by cleanup of the cooking area.

Do you clean up afterward?

Yes. The chef cleans the cooking area after service. The host is still responsible for guest tables, plates, cups and general party cleanup.

Can you cook in a backyard or on a patio?

Yes. Backyards and patios are among the most common setups, as long as there is a safe, level cooking area and enough clearance around the grill.

Can you cook in a garage?

A garage can work when there is adequate ventilation, safe clearance and property approval. Please tell us in advance if the garage is your weather backup.

Can you cook indoors?

Indoor cooking may be possible in some settings, but ventilation, ceiling clearance, fire safety rules and property approval must be reviewed first.

Can you cook on a rooftop, balcony or apartment terrace?

Possibly. Building rules vary widely. Please send any grill, propane, insurance or COI requirements before booking so we can confirm whether the setup is allowed.

Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?

A COI may be available upon request, but every building has different insurance requirements. We cannot guarantee that a specific building will accept our coverage until its requirements are reviewed.

Do I need to provide plates and utensils?

Yes. Unless otherwise arranged, guests should provide plates, forks or utensils, napkins and cups.

Can I have dessert or a birthday cake?

Yes. You are welcome to provide your own cake, desserts and non-hibachi party food for guests.

Weather & Logistics

What happens if it rains?

Contact us before the event so we can review a safe backup such as a suitable garage, covered patio or other approved area.

Can I use a tent?

A tent or covered area may work if it provides enough height, ventilation and safe clearance around the grill. Please send the setup details before the party.

What about cold weather?

Hibachi parties can still work in colder weather when there is a safe covered or protected setup. Indoor or garage options depend on ventilation and property rules.

What if I need to reschedule because of weather?

Contact us as early as possible. Approved date changes may allow the deposit to be transferred to a future party.

Do you service my city?

We accept inquiries nationwide. Start with our Service Areas page, then send your exact address so we can confirm local chef availability and travel.

Do you travel to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut?

Yes. These are priority service regions for our current site, with dedicated state, county and city pages. Availability and travel are confirmed for the exact event address.

What happens if the chef is delayed by traffic?

We do our best to arrive before the scheduled start time. If traffic or another unexpected delay affects arrival, we will update you as soon as possible.

Party Types & Group Size

Are hibachi parties good for birthdays?

Yes. Birthdays are one of the most popular reasons to book hibachi at home because the meal and entertainment happen together.

Are these parties kid-friendly?

Yes. Hibachi can be a fun family experience for children and adults. Let us know if the party is primarily for kids so the chef can keep the atmosphere appropriate for the group.

Can you cater a large group?

Yes. Larger groups may require additional chefs. Send the guest count early so we can plan staffing, timing and setup.

Can you handle 20, 30 or 50+ guests?

Yes, depending on date, location and chef availability. Larger events should be booked as early as possible so we can reserve the right number of chefs.

Do you do corporate events?

Do you cater weddings or rehearsal dinners?

Wedding-related events, rehearsal dinners and private celebrations may be possible depending on location, guest count and setup requirements.

Do you do family gatherings and holiday parties?

Before Party Day

What should I double-check before the party?

Confirm the final guest count, menu, event address, weather backup, parking or building access, and that tables, chairs, plates and utensils will be ready.

When should tables and chairs be set up?

Please have the guest seating and table setup ready before the chef arrives so setup and cooking can start on time.

Should I tell you if the address or guest count changes?

Yes. Send any address, start-time or guest-count changes as soon as possible because they can affect travel, staffing and the final total.
